Rankings are one of the many ways in which external stakeholders evaluate universities’ performances. Each ranking has its own methodology with results differing accordingly.
It is often confusing to outsiders, especially when the media reports. Each university must understand the meaning of rankings to communicate the results in a way relevant to that particular institution.
During this session, Björn Forslöw will present the basics of the largest international rankings and how Karolinska Institutet relates to them and communicates to external stakeholders such as general information on the web, targeted information to international students and media.
